Song Saa

I first read about Songs Saa in MINDFOOD magazine and was instantly drawn and knew I wanted to visit there. This Sustainable luxury private Island is situated in Cambodia and is an intimate escape like no other. It was not that long after reading about it that my husband and I started planning a trip around Vietnam and Cambodia so it seemed fitting to end this adventure with some relaxation at the end at Song Saa. It was indulgent of us but worth every cent!!! The food was sensational, spa treatments amazing and accomodation out of this world! You almost felt like you were alone on the island with the way they had designed it.

'Created with sustainability in mind, Song Saa Private Island reflects the beauty of the Cambodian coastline. It’s a place that breathes in time with nature, built from local materials, by local hands, and infused with local art and soul. An evolved tropical getaway with a pristine private beach, spacious wooden villas, heavenly spa sanctuaries and a preserved coral reef, Song Saa Private Island lets you detach from the world and tune into simple luxuries.

Built with reclaimed timber and materials from the mainland, the resort’s design and architecturereiterates our commitment to sustainability. Each villa is a private sanctuary, a refined blend of thatched roofs, linen-draped canopy beds, up-cycled décor and repurposed furniture. Discarded oil drums find new life as lamps. Driftwood serves as a table or bench. Salvaged wood from old fishing boats and factory yards nowforms decks and floors and beams.'
