Elements at Byron Bay
Elements is located about 30 minutes from Balina airport and 7-10 mins drive from the heart of Byron Bay. There is a steam train that leaves on the hour up until 5pm which takes you in and you can walk back or grab a quick taxi/uber at night time quite easily for $13. I love where it is located as you can relax, almost like a retreat and then when you want some action it is very close by!
I can’t fault the beautiful accommodation at Elements. The gorgeous villas wind around the resort amongst nature. Rainforest trails leading off from the walking track which leads you to the beach where they have their private area for bathing and also a gorgeous lookout point where you can enjoy yoga. It was easy to stay healthy on this trip as you could easily head off for a rainforest walk, attend yoga, do some laps of the pool, run around the track or play a game of tennis.
The room had all the mod cons and beautiful linens. I was working on my stay so the desk came in very handy. I was able to get up, do my exercise, eat breakfast before settling in to work for the morning. Breakfast consisted of a cold buffet with fruit, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, fresh juices and tea and coffee. You could upgrade to enjoy a hot breakfast from the a la carte menu.
Late afternoons were then left for relaxation with a cocktail at the adults pool and some nacho’s with Guacemole, or try their sensational healthy tacos and quesadilla’s.
OSPREY SPA @ ELEMENTS
I loved the treatment room here. As I stepped in, the double doors opened out in to a little yard where you could hear the birds and smell the nature. They started the treatment with affirmation cards, a choice of crystal and a foot cleanse. I loved the little touches. I would highly recommend the signature treatment of which was delivered to perfection. I certainly floated out of here, with my hands full of goodies. I loved their well -chosen retail products, carefully selected from Australia and in particular the Byron region too.
RAES’ ON WATEGOS
I can see why we people head to Raes, the beautiful views over looking Wategos beach. The feeling is relaxed but you know you are in a beautiful venue with staff immaculately dressed. Food was delicious to match. Try the cheesecake and Lamb!
All I can say is that this is some of the best Spanish Tapas I have ever had!!!! WOW WOW WOW! You must go there. Try the Jamon, patatas bravas, beautiful salads and small plates.
